I grew up in Chicago and have a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the College of Communications, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Here at GCE, I facilitate procedures to encourage a happy environment. As an eternal optimist, I see the good in everyone and the potential in ALL. Human connection means everything to me and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn, grow, guide, and evolve with the students and staff here at GCE Lab School. My door is always open and I welcome you to come say hello.
What was your favorite college class? Why?
Victorian Art & Architecture. I took it when I did a study abroad program in England. I spent two months touring castles and very old mansions and got college credit for it! It was so fun and interesting.
Share a memorable classroom experience.
I remember reading Romeo and Juliet in high school. My teacher asked me to interpret a passage during class one day, and I hesitated because the language was so hard to understand. I was intimidated by it and didn’t want to look bad in front of my classmates. I tried anyway and she told me I had gotten it exactly right. That always stuck with me because I learned to trust my own thoughts and ideas.
What do you want the future of education to look like?
I'd like education to be less stressful for students.
