I was born and raised in the Gulf Coast region of the south. I came to Chicago for an extended time when my school and home were damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. While here, I fell in love with the city and knew I wanted to come back to Chicago for college. I graduated from Roosevelt University in 2014 with a degree in Sociology. Since then, I have obtained my certification for Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician CCENT.
What was your favorite college class?
Computer forensics was very interesting and engaging. The lessons were hands-on and challenging and allowed me to see the techniques and procedures taken to uncover evidence.
What are your hobbies?
All sorts of things. I do macrame, needle felting, ice dyeing, shibori dyeing, block-printing, and make body scrubs and floral wreaths.
GCE has given me the opportunity to grow and hone my database skills while participating in the growth and development of young people.
