Event Navigation

There is no instruction manual for raising a teenager. It is often a challenging and confusing time of life - not just for teens but also for their parents. Teens instinctively want to pull away from their parents to establish their autonomy. This can trigger a wide range of emotions for parents, as you don't really know what their your teen is thinking or how to stay connected enough to positively influence them.

In spite of the twists and turns you’ll almost certainly encounter, there is a clear roadmap for parents to navigate this tricky time. Having this roadmap can pave the way for a strong, positive connection that keeps your teen focused and on track rather than endure years of unnecessary frustration.

In this talk, teen and family expert Joshua Wayne will outline this roadmap. You will learn practical tools to:

  • Minimize tension, ensure respectful communication, and build a strong relationship with your teen that will last a lifetime.
  • Know when to provide structure and set limits and when to let go and provide space.
  • Give your teen the single, greatest gift you can offer.
  • Help your teen become a happy, successful, responsible adult you are proud of.

This event is free, but space is limited.

I learned more about myself and my role as a parent in two hours with Joshua than I did in eight years with other therapists.
