An engaging summer class experience that challenges students to use design thinking and give shape to a sustainable future.

The Challenge:

  • How do we re-purpose our cities for efficiency and sustainability?
  • How do we rebuild urban environments to have minimal impact on natural ecosystems?
  • How can we re-imagine cities as ecosystems that mimic the Earth?

In this class, you will study how Earth’s systems interact, and how humans are incorporating our understanding of biology into our built environments through biomimicry.

Explore Issues that Matter

Using a case study from Greenbacker Labs, you will learn how we can achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals 6, 9, and 12, which focus on clean water and sanitation; industry, innovation, and infrastructure; and responsible consumption and production patterns.
