Financial Literacy with Rapunzl. Mon-Fri, 9:00-3:00 (FREE: paid for by sponsors)
In this free financial literacy program, operated by GCE partners Dreams for Kids and Rapunzl, students will learn about asset and wealth management while working daily with industry professionals. Each day will include classroom instruction in the morning and conferencing with professionals in the afternoon. Last year, students met with some of the biggest names in finance: Ariel Investments, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, GCM Grosvenor, Morningstar, Wintrust, and Mastercard. The program is made possible by the generous support of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, and each two-week session will conclude with a tour of Wintrust Arena, a conversation about the finances of running a professional sports team, and opportunity to meet Chicago Sky players before watching a home game. Lunch is provided daily for all students.
