Course Units

What are the frontiers of sea exploration?

In this unit, you will learn why protecting life below and around water has been identified as a Global Goal by the United Nations. By learning the basics of marine biology and oceanography, you will gain an understanding about what we do and do not know about our oceans, and what pollution, plastics, acidification, and sea-level rise mean for our oceans—and for us.

What are the frontiers of space exploration?

In this unit, you will explore what we do and don’t know about the universe. While learning the basics of astronomy and astrophysics, you will understand what makes Earth unique, and how it is also governed by the same universal laws we find across our galaxy and beyond.
