Global Citizenship Experience

Our weekly field experiences, guest workshops, and case studies with professionals embrace the inspiration and practicality of real-world learning. GCE Lab School offers a thematic, project-based curriculum in which students engage with all of these subjects and many more.

Join Our Community

GCE Lab School begins the re-enrollment process for returning students in January. Returning families will be required to submit the annual TADS Financial Aid Assessment in early February after which re-enrollment contracts for the next academic year will be distributed via email. Signed re-enrollment contracts and enrollment deposits are due in March.

Admission to GCE Lab School requires a completed online application including transcripts and, if applicable, IEP or 504 plans, an on-campus visit experience, a parent recommendation, a teacher recommendation, a student action project, and a family interview.

To ensure the accessibility of the GCE experience to all and to encourage specifically socioeconomic diversity, we have adopted Flexible Tuition. A family’s tuition obligation is indexed according to a family’s ability to pay. Families of particular means and good fortune afford tuition near the top of the scale and may contribute generously to school advancement campaigns. Other families, for whom education expenses require sacrifice, are assigned a tuition they can afford.

Flexible Tuition in 2020-2021 will range, $4,550 – $29,150.

Supporting Student Success

GCE students receive ample individualized attention and really get to know their teachers and their peers in small classes. Students are challenged and supported as individuals by teachers and staff that really care.

Our hands-on and real-world applicable lessons across STEAM and the Humanities help students recognize the purpose in their education. These lessons also allow students to connect their personal interests and demonstrate their learning through self-designed Action Projects.

Our curriculum is grounded in the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, so we don’t teach to the test, we teach to the world’s most pressing problems. We’re developing global citizens ready to tackle the challenges of the future.

The variation in subjects and focus in lessons is an opportunity for a fresh start and leads to greater exposure to opportunities and areas of potential interest. Our teachers provide a multitude of academic supports to ensure student success in the classroom from one-on-one tutoring to supplemental academic materials.

At GCE Lab School, we promote a culture of open communication between students and staff. Our students have a voice and feel heard.
